Saturday, November 12th Matside Nebraska will be in Moville, IA. at the Wildcat Wrestling Preseason Folk Style Tournament held at the Woodbury Central School. (This is a 4 man Round robin tournament). There will be 2 gyms available if needed, Walk-ins will be accepted up till the start time. Awards: Medals w/ribbons for 1st - 4th place. Saturday, November 26th Matside Nebraska will be south of Sioux City IA. in Lawton-Bronson IA. at the Lawton-Bronson High School. (100 Tara Way, Lawton, IA) Approx: 10 miles east of Sioux City, IA. Awards: "NEW" Medals for all divisions. I will have the Engraver on hand. Contact: Kyle Lewis (712) 898-4846 As of 11/17 this tournament was filling up fast. This could be do to the Morningside/Raiders tournament in East Sioux City the same day starting at 12:PM in the afternoon. Saturday, December 3rd Matside Nebraska will be traveling to Odebolt, IA. for the 28th Annual "OA-BCIG" Booster Club Youth Wrestling Tournament. This Wrestling Tournament will be held at the OA-BCIG Middle School in Odebolt, IA. ( This is just North of Denison, IA. ). Weigh-in's start at 7:15 AM for for the (5-8 yrs) PeeWee's, with their Wrestling starting at 9: AM. The Bantam (9-10 yrs) Division Weigh-in's start at 9: AM. While their wrestling will start immediately after the conclusion of the PeeWee Division. The Junior's (11 & 12 yrs) Division and the Senior's (13-15 yrs) Division will follow suite. This Tournament is limited to only 500 wrestlers. Early registration is only $12.00. Awards: First Place Champions will receive a Trophy, 2nd - 4th Place wrestlers will receive Medals. Sunday, December 4th Matside Nebraska will not be able to attend the Norfolk Junior Trophy Tournament this year. It is only due to Tournament conflicts and is unfortunate, but happens. Sunday, December 4th Matside Nebraska will be in Missouri Valley for the Missouri Valley Youth "Beginners Wrestling Tournament". This tournament is ONLY for the beginner wrestler and or those that hold a loosing record. Wrestlers 1st through 3rd year. (These 3rd year wrestlers need to hold a loosing record). This tournament will be held at the Missouri Valley H.S. located at 605 E Lincoln Hwy. Awards: Medals w/ribbons for 1st - 4th Place. 4-man round robin format when possible. Sunday, December 11th Matside Nebraska will be in Council Bluffs, IA. for the Panthers Early Bird Tournament. This tournament will be held at the Lewis Central High School (Intersection of Hwy, 275 & Hwy, 92). This is across for the Iowa school for the Deaf. This is a very popular tournament that fills up fast. There will be "NO Walk-ins" Sunday. Walk-ins will be allowed on Saturday for weigh-ins "Only". Awards:Trophy for 1st place, Medals for 2nd - 4th place. I will have the Engraver on hand for those that want to have their Medals engraved. Fill free to bring in other awards to get engraved as well. This will be a great tournament. I hope to see ya there... To those of you that missed this tournament, You missed out... (2) sessions and about 2 1/2 hours each. All was good and ran very well. Congratulations to the Panthers for pulling it together. We'll see ya again next year...

Friday, December 30th Matside Nebraska will be heading back to Iowa to take part in the Woodbine Optimist Clubs, Annual Friday Night Wrestling Tournament. This event will be held in Woodbine, IA. This is just east of Missouri Valley on Hwy 30. Weigh-in's are from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM Sharp... Wrestling will start at 6:00 PM Sharp... Don't Be Late!! Saturday, December 31st 2011 Matside Nebraska will be in Sloan Iowa attending the Year End Tournament. The Westwood Wrestling Clubs will be hosting the "NEW YEARS EVE TOURNAMENT" Weigh-in's are from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM and Wrestling will start at 9:30 AM. This tournament is scheduled

Saturday, January 7th Matside Nebraska was in Concordia, KS. for the Con-Kids Tournament. I t was nice to see a few kids for Columbus there. Thank you Concordia for having us. We will be glad to plan the trip again next year.

Saturday, January 14th Matside Nebraska "will not" be in Omaha, NE. for the AAU Winter Nationals. this year. This event will be held at the Civic Center in Downtown Omaha. This year the Winter Nationals is giving away a "BELT" for the Champion. Best of luck to all of you that go. This really is an awesome Event and very close to us all.
Sunday, January 15th Matside Nebraska will be in Council Bluffs, IA. at the Cobra Optimist Beginners Tournament. August Manz said that they are expecting approx 500 - 600 wrestlers. Last year they had to turn people away as they where under staffed and just could not handle that many wrestlers. They are ready for you now... Saturday, January 21th Matside Nebraska will be in Crete, NE. at the Crete Wrestling Clubs Tournament. This Tournament will be held at the Crete High School. This has always been a good Tournament. Bringing in around 300-400 good wrestlers at all ages and abilities. This year Matside Nebraska will be providing the Awards. The Crete Wrestling Clubs First Place Trophy will be the Victory Monster Award seen here. The Monster Victory Trophy. These are "Very COOL". Best plan ahead to attend this tournament as it will be caped at 400 wrestlers. Sunday, January 28thMatside Nebraska will be in Milford Nebraska for the Milford Youth Wrestling Tournament. This has always been a Great Tournament. They always have large numbers of wrestlers, Their staff is negligible and friendly. They know how to move you through a Tournament. This is the one tournament in Nebraska that everyone will be at. Better not miss it... I am glad to see everyone took my advise and showed up for this one. The Milford team said that they counted just over 600 wrestlers. Nice job!!!

Coach, Justin Grey knows how to set up and run a wrestling tournament.Awards: "NEW" Champ. of Champ. 2lb. Panther Trophy (Did I mention Coach Grey now's what he's doing)? Medals for 2nd - 4th place. We will have the Engraver on site for you to engrave your medals. Coach Grey does not have a cap on this tournament. What is he thinking? Friday, February 24th Matside Nebraska will be in Geneva, NE for the Filmore Youth Wrestling Tournament. This event starts at 6: pm and should be over by 10:30 pm. Saturday, February 25th Matside Nebraska will be in North Platte Nebraska for the 2012 "MNW" Tournament. I have heard so much about this tournament I ma making it a point to attend it this year. We will be bringing everything that we do at the tournaments in the Eastern part of the State as well as just maybe a few new items. We will just have to wait and wee. That my friends is how it's done. With 200 plus wrestlers, I don't know myself how they do it. It has to be a the fact that everyone has a job and they all pitches in and gets it done...

March 19th 2012 Monday Eve. Matside Nebraska might be in Wahoo, NE. for the Wahoo Youth Wrestling Tournament. We'll just have to wait and see.... No! No! No! We we turned down... Well, Maybe next year. Their loss....
March 24th 2012 Matside Nebraska will be in Waverly, NE for their Waverly Youth Viking Tournament. This tournament was held in two gyms this year. This allowing to use the lower bleachers. This was a very good tournament. There was a big turnout, A lot of folks from Eastern Nebraska and Iowa. It's is always nice to be done early and have the late afternoon to do other things. We are planing to return next year. I would do the same if I was you...
March 30th 2012 Friday Eve. Matside Nebraska was in Fullerton, Ne. Again this year. We had a great time last year at this tournament. We'll just have to wait and see... We where back in Fullerton again this year. This is a very nice smaller tournament. Nice warm up and practice tournament for Huskerland.

April 6th & 7th 2012 Matside Nebraska will be in Kearney, Nebraska. for the 2012 MIDWEST CLASSIC NATIONALS This event will be held at the Buffalo County Fair Grounds in the EXPO Center. Divisions are: 6 & Under, 18 & Under. This is Nebraska's Biggest and Best Wresting Tournaments. Wrestlers come from all over to challenge their skills and abilities. 2012 Cornhusker State Games July 20th -29th. Wrestling will be the fist weekend... Don't forget to plan to attend the SAND Grappling (wrestling) Event.
